bought a used Xperia XZ and it's reported as a prototype—h'what

service called "factory startup service" that pops up a huge "POWER OFF" button within 30 seconds of booting Android, and the IMEIs (dual sim) printed on the SIM tray don't match the ones reported in Android

oh and i also don't get any OTA updates... hence my theory that it's a unit assembled from scattered parts—and the motherboard was probably taken from some factory eval phone without knowing

except i waited for two weeks for this thing to ship and now i have a non-operational paperweight that is stuck on stock ROM (8.0 latest)
